MindSpark
Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026
MindSpark is run by the MindSpark team in South Australia. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This page explains, in plain words, what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are scrambled (encrypted) and we can never see them. If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email and profile picture from Google.
- Your progress: games played, scores, streaks, settings such as text size, and your time zone.
- Family features: who you are linked with, notes family members send, and photos uploaded for the Photo Memory game.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record of your plan and its renewal date.
Why we use it
- To run your account and keep your progress the same on all your devices.
- To let family members you invite see your progress and send you notes and photos.
- To send emails you ask for: password resets, daily workout reminders (if you turn them on) and the Sunday family recap (you can unsubscribe anytime).
- To take subscription payments.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We only share what is needed with these trusted services:
- Stripe for payments, Resend for sending emails, and Google if you choose Google sign-in.
- Our secure cloud hosting provider, which stores the app and its data.
- An AI service writes the daily brain teasers. It is never sent any of your personal information.
Some of these services store data outside Australia, for example in the United States. Each one has its own privacy and security safeguards.
Family members
Family members can only see your progress after you share your invite code with them. They can view your progress, but they cannot change it. You can remove a family member at any time from the Family page.
Keeping it safe
Your information is sent over secure, encrypted connections. Only you, and the family members you choose, can see your progress and photos.
Your choices
You can ask to see or correct your information at any time by emailing joannekennedy1962@gmail.com. You can delete your account yourself from My account. Everything is permanently removed 7 days later, including your progress, notes, photos and family links. Until then you can change your mind. We keep basic payment records (amounts and dates) for as long as Australian tax law requires. You can turn off reminder and recap emails yourself, in Settings or on the Family page.
Children
MindSpark is made for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
